Dates for Pop-up Water Parks
Posted: Aug 13, 2019
The Parksville Volunteer Fire Department will host three more pop-up water parks this summer. The family-friendly events will give kids and kids-at-heart the opportunity to beat the heat and cool off by running through a misting spray from an aerial ladder truck and other fire hose appliances. The first-ever pop-up water park held earlier this month was a huge success.

Dates are listed here:
• Sunday August 18, 10 am to 3 pm at Kidsfest.
Fire truck will be located on west side of curling rink building in the paved parking lot
• Friday August 23, 6 - 8 pm at Shelly Creek Park
497 Corfield Street between Trill Drive and Hamilton Avenue
• Friday August 30, 6 - 8 pm at Foster Park
Located at the corner of Sanderson Road and Pym Street

The pop-up water parks are an opportunity for residents and visitors to check out the fire engines and equipment, learn about fire safety and talk to members about what it means to be a volunteer firefighter. The Parksville Fire Department members look forward to the opportunity to engage with the community and share in the fun.

For more information, please contact the department at 250 248-3242.
